Spring 2025 Canopy Tree Program

Prospect is excited to again be able to offer a spring Canopy Tree Program to help residents continue replanting after last year’s spring storm. Having just been confirmed as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 17th year in a row, we are pleased to support activities that help keep Prospect green.

Available tree varieties include:  Jordan Street Oak, Heritage Oak, Triumph Elm, Robin Hill Service Berry, Norway Spruce.  The two inch diameter trees are available on a first come, first serve basis. There will be 20 trees available.

 

The homeowner is responsible for a $175 fee that includes the tree of choice, tree guard, mulch and professional installation with the City funding the balance of cost.  Residents can get a wonderful tree for a great price.  Prior participants have reported a positive experience.

 

Applications with more details are available here, or you can obtain a hard copy at the City Hall front desk.  Tree selections with checks are due at City Hall by March 6.
