The Committee makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council for maintenance and improvement projects in city-owned parks and lands, organizes volunteers to create and improve public walking and hiking trails, and facilitates Scout Eagle Projects in city parks. The committee hosts special events such as guided trail walks, bird walks, spring wildflower walks, and children's craft events! The committee schedules and hosts performances in the John E. Evans Pavilion in Little Hunting Creek Park.
Members of the Committee are Prospect residents and are appointed by the Mayor.
