About Luke
Luke “L.C.” Pearson is a naturalist and sound artist who strives to promote meaningful relationships between people and the natural world. Originally from Louisville, Luke spent several years working and studying in Massachusetts, Colorado, and Washington State before returning to work as an educator for the Louisville Nature Center and wildlife specialist for Cave Hill Cemetery. While studying music engineering, Luke traveled to South Africa with the goal of recording the music of nature. Upon returning, Luke felt a calling to unmask the beauty of wildlife sounds across North America and study the meaning behind every sound, from the quiet trill of a cricket to the ultrasonic chatters of a bat.
